Some of the FAQ below might not be relevant for ProBoards integration.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR NEW CHAT:
Sign in with your customer account at addonchat.com then Add A New Account. For edition select "AddonChat X". Make sure you remember the Executive Name when you register. This will be the name you login with as the chat owner and have access to essential settings in the Settings Panel. You'll be given a 2 week trial that allows 50 concurrent users. You may purchase a higher number of concurrent users if necessary. You can later migrate user data and remaining time from your java chat account to your new account.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE SETTINGS PANEL?:
You'll need to login using the Executive name when you signed up for AddonChat X. This user account will have full administrative privileges in your new chat system. You may change the username later if you wish. Your current customer account password that you use to sign-in to this web site (http://addonchat.com) will be assigned to this user account.
Once in click the gears icon in the chat side bar that sets about the launch icon. If logged in as the Executive you'll see "Settings Panel". This I where all settings and customizing of your chat can be done.
IMPORT SETTINGS:
You can import your account data now from your Classic Java chat to AddonChat X. Sign in with your customer account at addonchat.com then click the Import Account Data and the data you wish to use in v10. The data that can be imported is User Accounts, Canned Messages and Rooms.
AUTO LAUNCH LOGIN:
There is no embedded applet option as there was with AddonChat Classic Java. You can however have the login screen launch automatically. Login to your chat using the Executive account when you signed up for your chat. After logging in click the gears icon from the side bar and select Settings Panel. Click the Look & Feel tab then Startup Options. Open Sign-in Window on "Startup: Yes" then save settings. This will make it easier for your users to see the loin screen.
TO OPEN A DEFAULT ROOM AFTER SIGN-IN:
In setting panel click the Chat Rooms tab then the room you want to open by default. Click the Options tab then Auto Open after Sign-in: Enabled.
SET DEFAULT CHAT BAR TAB:
In Settings Panel click the Look & Feel tab then Startup Options. Select from the Default Chat Bar Tab the desired option you wish displayed after login.
GENERAL HELP:
All the information is included in the Settings Panel for each setting. You should see an "i" which you can click that will expand what that feature does.
SET UP CHAT ON YOUR SITE:
Login to your customer account on our website at addonchat.com then click the gears icon for your Settings Panel. Login to your AddonChat X with the Executive name you registered for your chat. Click the My Account tab then HTML Link Code. Your code and some instructions are there.
MOBILE CONNCTION:
Currently mobile access is limited to tablets using their native browsers. Our development team has placed a priority on improving mobile connectivity. Follow us on social media for important announcements when this feature becomes available for all mobile devices.
